A Time-Honoured Delicacy
Red Deer have played a significant role in the heritage of New Zealand, its rural environment and agricultural development. Red Deer (amongst other species) were brought to the country by the early European settlers in 1863 initially for sport, with the first licence to farm granted in 1970.
We supply a high quality range of Venison, sourced from a small number of deer farms dotted around the Central Plateau High Country of the North Island, in partnership with Duncan Venison.
The supplying farms produce a world-class grass-fed and finished, hormone and antibiotic-free product, that is exported to many of Europe’s best restaurants.
The deer range in large paddocks, in large mobs to emulate the herds found in the wild, with minimal handling to maximise stress reduction.

A Wild Heritage!
Our Wild Venison supply cannot be guaranteed on a weekly basis, available as a resource opportunity that is weather and season dependent. We will only supply fresh (chilled) product that is locally sourced and provenanced.
All of our wild venison will be supplied with provenance, which will include the area from which it has been harvested, and the species.
